Russell Means, MD
Dr. Russell Means is a board-certified emergency physician who attended undergrad at the University of Arizona, where he returned for medical school after an enlistment period in the U.S. Coast Guard. He spent the past few years working for emergency departments in Southern Arizona at the University, on the Apache reservation, and on the Mexican-American border. He also serves as the medical director for the park rangers at the Oregon Pipe National Park.
Russell has had a great love for the ocean since living on Kauai as a child and enjoys sharing this with his daughter and son. His wife Marilyn is a clinical pharmacist and since escaping the Arizona heat, they both lead the outdoor lifestyle year-round.
Some of his other interests include legoing, biking, swimming, nerding out, travel, rock climbing, mountain biking, mountaineering, jiu-jitsu, surfing, skiing, science education, landscaping, exploring, and reading.
