Jayson Watabe, PA
Jayson Watabe PA-C grew up in Tokyo, Japan and went to Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree. He worked as a school teacher in Provo, Utah
before receiving his Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Idaho State University in 2014. His first job as a Physician Assistant was at Tuba City Regional Healthcare Corporation on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona, where he worked for over 7 years, primarily with the General/Trauma Surgery team. He found it very rewarding to work with and serve Native Americans from the Navajo and Hopi tribes.
Jayson is excited to be in Hawaii where his mother’s side of his family goes back 4 generations. His great grandfather started Machida Drugs in the 1920s, a successful pharmacy in Hilo which was in business for over 100 years. He
enjoys everything about the ocean and the outdoors, but especially enjoys spending the morning hours deep sea fishing from his kayak.
Currently Jayson resides in Oahu with his wife and 5 children who all feel very blessed to be able to live in this beautiful landscape. He is grateful and happy to be a part of the Hawaii Emergency Physicians Associated team.
