Heather Bradford, MD
Dr. Heather Bradford is a board certified Emergency Physician who was born and raised in rural Maine. She graduated from the University of New England with a Bachelor of Science, having earned a double major in Medical Biology and Biochemistry as well as a minor in Creative and Fine Arts. After working in the Operating Room and Pathology at Maine Medical Center, she moved to Boston and attended Tufts University School of Medicine, obtaining her degree in 2013. Heather was also fortunate enough to participate in a medical mission to Ecuador through MEDLIFE and learn more about providing medical care in a resource-limited setting. Dr. Bradford completed her Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Connecticut in June 2016 and is proud of the excellent training she received there. Heather joined HEPA full time on the Big Island in August 2016 with her significant other Dr. Dan Silverman who is also an Emergency Medicine physician. She enjoys the pace of the Big Island as well as the work-life balance afforded by HEPA. She currently works at Hilo Medical Center and Hale Hoola Hamakua and appreciates the opportunity to
serve at both a community hospital and critical access site. Heather’s other interests include exploring the islands, hiking, kayaking, as well as cooking and traveling with Dan.
