Daniela Laird, PA-C
Dani Laird, PA-C is from San Diego, California. She completed her undergraduate training at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She completed her MCHS in Physician Assistant studies through University of Washington, at their campus in Kona, Hawai’i. During her time in PA school, she was recognized for her leadership skills and voted as Student Body President, received the Ruth Ballweg Endowed Fund for Leadership Scholarship, and the John B. Coombs MD Award for Exemplary Leadership. She also helped to start a nonprofit organization devoted
to introducing point-of-care ultrasound skills to current PA students.
She was brought to Hawai’i Island by her husband, who was born and raised on the Big Island. Her mother-in-law practiced at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital as a pharmacist for several years. Nearly all of her rotations during PA school were completed on Hawai’i Island.
Some fun facts about Dani include that she was a collegiate volleyball player and elite youth volleyball coach for almost 10 years. Her final year coaching, her team won a Junior Olympics gold medal. She retired immediately after that.
In her free time, she loves anything outside. Hiking, snorkeling, swimming, surfing, or reading at the beach. She also loves watching any sports, and is an avid Padres fan.
