Crystal D. Hammer, MD
Crystal Hammer joined HEPA and Mid Pacific Hospitalist group in 2017. She completed medical school at Oregon Health and Sciences University and a combined Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She is a board certified in both emergency medicine and in internal medicine and currently practices as both an emergency physician and a hospitalist on the Big Island. She also completed the Gorgas Course of Tropical Medicine and obtained a Certificate of Knowledge in Clinical Tropical Medicine and Travelers’ Health. In addition to her clinical work, she serves in several administrative roles at Queens North Hawaii Community Hospital and as the president for MidPacific Hospitalists.
Her hobbies and interests include spending time with family and outdoors activities including backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, travelling, SCUBA diving, and dancing.
