Christopher A. Johnson, MD
Dr. Christopher (Chris) Johnson was born and raised in Hawaii, growing up in Kailua on the Island of Oahu. He attended college in Oregon and then medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Between his 3rd and 4th year of medical school, he undertook an adventure sabbatical of sorts, spending 8 months traveling across 17 countries throughout Central America, Europe, Scandinavia, Northern Africa, and Southeast Asia. He then completed his emergency medicine residency at Drexel/Hahnemann in Philadelphia (go Eagles!), where he met his wife, a nurse who has also spent her career specializing in the care of patients in the emergency department. Upon returning home to Hawaii, Dr. Johnson joined HEPA in 2007, where he has worked at Castle Medical Center, Wahiawa General Hospital and Kahuku Medical Center on Oahu.
In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys cooking, playing guitar, the outdoors, movies, reading, traveling, and enjoying family time together with his wife and their two amazing and energetic young boys.
