Benjamin Foorman, MD
Dr. Ben Foorman was born and raised in Cascade, Colorado, just outside Colorado Springs at the base of Pikes Peak. He attended Stanford University for undergrad where he earned his bachelor’s degree in neurobiology, and also volunteered as an EMT on campus. He then moved up the peninsula in the Bay Area to attend medical school at the University of California at San Francisco.
Dr. Foorman completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he had a focus on EMS and aeromedicine, serving as a flight physician for Airlift Northwest and soaking up as much of the Pacific Northwest as he could.
Ben is ecstatic to be living in Hilo with his partner Bianca and his two cats, Po and Drax. He enjoys working at Hilo Benioff Medical Center and other Big Island hospitals as well. He loves hiking, birding, paddleboarding, snorkeling, finding new restaurants, and traveling as much as possible.
