Amber Cibrario, DO
Dr. Cibrario is an Emergency Medicine Physician born in
Racine, Wisconsin. She attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Emergency Medicine
Residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital in downtown Detroit.
Dr. Cibrario completed 4 years of Active Duty Service for the United States Air Force working at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She served
as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine for the Uniformed Services
University of the Health Sciences and as Assistant Program Director for the
Emergency Medicine Program at Brooke Army Medical Center. Dr. Cibrarioa received multiple teaching awards and was honored with ACEP’s National Junior
Faculty of the Year 2022. During that time, she also completed two combat deployments in Syria and Afghanistan where she served as team lead for the Ground Surgical Team and received multiple awards including the United States Air Force CGO Physician of Year in 2021.
Amber likes non-government mandated travel, survival skills, hiking, kayaking, rucking, Apothic Red (no shame), Krav Maga, fishing and power tools. She enjoys adventures in Hawaii with her husband Dr. Zachary Baker, who is also part of the HEPA team, and their two dogs Tundra and Gimlet. Dr. Cibrario has worked at Hilo Medical Center, Ka’u Hospital, Hale Ho’ola Hamakua and provides coverage to other Big Island hospitals.
